A continuous-flow hemostatic device is provided for selectively providingirrigation fluid to a target patient tissue site. The continuous-flowhemostatic deviceincludes a compression ring and a handle. The compression ring has acompressionring suction channel and a compression ring irrigation channel definedthereby. Thecompression ring has at least one suction port and at least one irrigationport on acompression ring inner wall. The suction port places the compression ringinner wallin fluid connection with the compression ring suction channel. The irrigationportplaces the compression ring inner wall in fluid connection with thecompression ringirrigation channel. The handle has a handle suction channel and a handleirrigationchannel therein. Wherein the handle suction channel is in fluid connectionwith thecompression ring suction channel, and the handle irrigation channel is influidconnection with the compression ring irrigation channel.
