The present invention relates to a composition in the form of a foam having a density of 0.3 to 0.8, characterized in that it is in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion comprising, in a cosmetically acceptable medium a) a continuous aqueous phase comprising at least one thickener or gelling agent for said aqueous phase b) a fatty phase dispersed in the aqueous phase, comprising: (i) at least one fatty acid partially or totally neutralized with an organic or inorganic alkaline agent and (ii) at least hydrophobic silica aerogel particles. It also relates to a cosmetic process for caring for and/or making up human keratin fibres, in particular the skin of the body or of the face, comprising at least the application, to the surface of the keratin material, of at least one composition as previously defined.La présente invention concerne une composition se présentant sous forme dune mousse ayant une densité de 0,3 à 0,8, caractérisée en ce quelle se présente sous la forme dune émulsion huile dans eau comprenant, dans un milieu cosmétiquement acceptable a) une phase aqueuse continue comprenant au moins un agent épaississant ou gélifiant pour ladite phase aqueuse b) une phase grasse dispersée dans la phase aqueuse, comprenant : (i) au moins un acide gras partiellement ou totalement neutralisé avec un agent alcalin organique ou inorganique et (ii) au moins des particules daérogel de silice hydrophobe.
