A coaxial insertion aid in the form of a flexible wire coil (150) is connected to a distal end of the shaft. A core wire (130) is arranged in the lumen for controlling flexibility of the wire. A distal inner region (151) of the coil is provided adjacent to a guide wire tip (170). The inner region communicates with the lumen over an aperture (161) that is formed near the coil. The inner region includes an opening (154) opened outward for supplying/discharging the fluid.
