Gegenstand der vorliegenden Anmeldung ist ein Mittel zur Färbung von keratinischen Fasern, enthaltend in einem wässrigen Träger (a) einen oder mehrere hoch ethoxylierte C16-C18-Fettalkohole mit 30 bis 100 Ethoxy-Gruppen, (b) einen oder mehrere niedrig ethoxylierte C16-C18-Fettalkohole mit 1 bis 5 Ethoxygruppen, (c) gegebenenfalls einen oder mehrere Monoester aus Glycerin und einer C14-C20-Fettsäure, (d) einen oder mehrere C16-C18-Fettalkohole, (e) ein oder mehrere Alkalisierungsmittel und (f) ein oder mehrere Oxidationsfarbstoffvorprodukte, wobei - das Gewichtsverhältnis aus allen im Mittel enthaltenen hoch ethoxylierten C16-C18-Fettalkoholen (a) zu allen im Mittel enthaltenen niedrig ethoxylierten C16-C18-Fettalkoholen (b), d.h. das Gewichtsverhältnis (a)/(b), bei einem Wert von 10 bis 20 liegt und - das Gewichtsverhältnis aus der Summe aller im Mittel enthaltenen Bestandteile [(c)+(d)] zur Summe aller im Mittel enthaltenden ethoxylierten Fettalkohole [(a)+(b)], d.h. das Gewichtsverhältnis [(c)+(d)]/[(a)+(b)], bei einem Wert von 2 bis 5 liegt.
