The present invention relates to a composition for keratinocyte proliferation or a composition for keratinocyte apoptosis inhibition comprising at least one of a Lactococcus lactis strain, a culture thereof, an eluate thereof and an extract of the eluate as an active ingredient. The strain is specifically a strain isolated from a camellia flower, and the composition enables keratinocyte to proliferate and inhibits keratinocyte apoptosis, thereby having excellent skin barrier strengthening effect or skin moisturizing effect.본 명세서에는 유효성분으로 락토코커스 락티스(Lactococcuslactis) 균주 이의 배양물, 이의 용출물 및 상기 용출물의 추출물 중 어느 하나 이상을 포함하는 각질형성세포 증식용 조성물 또는 각질형성세포 사멸 억제용 조성물로서, 상기 균주는 구체적으로 동백나무의 꽃에서 분리된 균주이며, 상기 조성물은 각질형성세포를 증식시키고, 각질형성세포 사멸을 억제하므로, 피부 장벽강화효과 또는 피부보습 증진효과가 우수하다.
