The present invention relates to a massage device 1 comprising a support 2 and a plurality of massage elements 3, each projecting a distance outwardly from the support and having a rounded massaging surface, characterised in that at least some of the massage elementsproject outwardly from the support by a first distance and some by a second distance, whereby the first and second distances are different, so the massage elements are set at different heights. The massage elements may be provided by hemispheres each having a rounded upward facing massage surface, and may be closely packed and arranged in rows. Two supports may be connected (see figure 3) or integrally formed to form a double-sided massage device useful for the sacrum area of the back (figure 6). The device may be a pad attached to a neck support which may include a rocker (see figure 13). The device is a passive massage device without moving parts.
