PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic medical chart management device and an electronic medical chart management method improving a users data input, updating and efficiency in a medical field.SOLUTION: Medical chart image information created by reading a paper chart by an image reading section is stored in a storage part as an electronic medical chart in association with a classification code for specifying the paper chart. When a page is added to the paper chart corresponding to the already stored electronic medical chart, added medical chart image information is created, and a classification code corresponding to the medical chart image information is added.
