Cancer is one of the most predominant diseases and one of the most difficult to treat. Additionally, in some cases this condition could present drug resistance, so it is very important to develop novel medicaments useful for anti-tumour treatments. Since some plants have been a useful source of clinically important anti-tumour compounds, and in many cases they have been used in conjunction with conventional therapies, it is important to isolate and characterize naturally-occurring compounds with this property. The present disclosure is related to anti-tumour agents more particularly, comprising an anti-tumour activity of the Plectranthus zuluensis extracts and its method for obtaining them directly form the stem, leaves and flowers of the plant. The antineoplastic effect of said extracts makes the use of these extracts a viable alternative for the treatment of tumor diseases.El cáncer es una de las enfermedades más predominantes y difíciles de tratar, además de presentar en algunos casos resistencia a drogas, por lo que resulta de gran importancia el desarrollo de nuevos fármacos útiles para tratamientos antitumorales. Debido a que algunas plantas han sido una fuente útil de compuestos antitumorales de importancia clínica, y que en muchos casos han sido utilizadas en conjunto con las terapias convencionales, resulta importante aislar y caracterizar compuestos de origen natural que posean esta propiedad. La presente invención se relaciona con agentes antitumorales, específicamente con la actividad antitumoral de extractos de la planta Plectranthus zuluensis con actividad antitumoral y su método de obtención a partir del tallo, hojas o flores de la planta. El efecto antineoplásico de dichos extractos, los convierte en una alternativa viable para el tratamiento de enfermedades tumorales.
