PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric cart for elderly persons, capable of being used as a time power supply for various purposes such as lighting during a power failure at a home.SOLUTION: The electric cart for elderly persons, configured to automatically stop charging of a battery with a power cord plugged into a receptacle of a commercial power supply when a battery reaches a predetermined voltage, includes switching means which switches a circuit of an AC-DC converter； a DC-AC converter which converts electric power of the battery into AC power； and a time power supply controller which detects a power failure of the commercial power supply at night with the power cord plugged into the receptacle of the commercial power supply, converts DC power of the battery into AC power with the DC-AC converter, applies the AC power from the power cord to the commercial power supply system as a time power supply and controls the switching means to open the circuit of the AC-DC converter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2【課題】 家庭等における停電時の照明などの時限電源として利用できるようにした高齢者用電動カートを提供する。 【解決手段】 バッテリーが所定電圧に達したときに電源コードのプラグを商用電源のコンセントに接続したままでバッテリーの充電を自動停止させるようにした高齢者用電動カートにおいて、ＡＣ／ＤＣ変換器の回路を開閉するスイッチ手段と、バッテリーの電力を交流電力に変換するＤＣ／ＡＣ変換器と、電源コードのプラグが商用電源のコンセントに接続された状態の夜間における商用電源の停電を検知してバッテリーの直流電力をＤＣ／ＡＣ変換器で交流電力に変換させ、この交流電力を電源コードから商用電源系に時限電源として与えるとともに、スイッチ手段を制御して上記ＡＣ／ＤＣ変換器の回路を開成する時限電源コントローラと、を備える。【選択図】 図２
