A crop management system (10) for processing crop material (14) positioned on a field (18) is disclosed. The system (10) comprising: a first field sensor (22) configured to detect one or more parameters of the crop material (14) at a first location and to output a first signal representative of the detected one or more parameters at the first location; a second field sensor (22) configured to detect one or more parameters of the crop material (14) at a second location different than the first location and to output a second signal representative of the detected one or more parameters at the second location; and a data processor (26) in operable communication with the first sensor and the second sensor (22) and configured to receive the first signal and the second signal, and wherein the data processor (26) is also configured to compile the data representative of the one or more parameters of the crop material (14) at the first and second locations with corresponding position data to determine the time and location of a processing process. Processing crop material (14) may comprise tedding, raking, baling or applying chemicals to the crop material (14).
