PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an appropriate manufacturing method in manufacturing a balloon catheter, capable of suppressing such inconvenience that an inflated part of a balloon is unintentionally brought into contact with a normal region inside the body.SOLUTION: The balloon catheter includes a catheter tube 11, which includes an outer tube 15 and an inner tube 16. The balloon 13 is provided to cover a portion of the inner tube 16 projecting on the distal side from the outer tube 15, and a contrast ring 30 is attached to a region in the inner tube 16 covered by the balloon 13. The method for manufacturing the catheter includes: a step of attaching the contrast ring 30 to the inner tube 16 and a step of positioning the balloon 13 to the inner tube 16 so as not be displaced to the proximal side from a proximal contrast ring 30b while the maximum pressure is applied to the proximal end of a straight tube region 13c of the balloon 13, and jointing the balloon 13 in the positioned state to the inner tube 16.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】バルーンの膨張部分が意図せず体内における正常な部位に接触する不都合を抑制できるバルーンカテーテルを製造する上で好適な製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】バルーンカテーテルはカテーテルチューブ11を備え、同チューブ11は、外側チューブ15と内側チューブ16とを備える。バルーン13は、内側チューブ16において外側チューブ15よりも遠位側に延出した部分を覆うように設けられ、内側チューブ16においてバルーン13により覆われた領域には造影環30が取り付けられている。かかるカテーテルの製造に際しては、造影環30を内側チューブ16に取り付ける工程と、バルーン13の直管領域13cの近位端部が最大圧力が付与されている状態で近位側造影環30bよりも近位側に変位することのないように、バルーン13を内側チューブ16に位置決めし、その位置決め状態でバルーン13を内側チューブ16に接合する工程とを行う。【選択図】 図2
