PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article comprising a stretchable sheet having a stretchable part whose stretch stress differs depending on positions in the area of the stretchable sheet.SOLUTION: An absorbent article comprises a stretchable sheet. In the stretchable sheet, an elastic film that can expand and contract at least in a longitudinal direction is laminated between a first sheet layer having no elasticity and a second sheet layer. The first sheet layer and the second sheet layer are joined directly or through the elastic film at a plurality of junctions with intervals. The stretchable sheet can be contracted by a contractive force of the elastic film and expanded by applying an external force in the longitudinal direction.
