Infusion pump 100 includes a housing 110. The housing includes a tube port 150 configured to receive an intravenous (“IV”) tube 120. The tube port includes a tube channel 240 and ribs 280. The tube channel has an inlet and an outlet end. The rib is located along the channel adjacent the outlet end. As the tube passes through the tube port, the ribs are formed to extend toward the tube and tend to indent the tube and prevent complete blockage of the tube. The tube port may also include a plurality of ribs located around the periphery of the tube port on the outer side of the housing.
