According to the invention, in order to enable better monitoring of the thermal sterilization of a transport pallet, the indicator body (1, 21) comprises a triggering segment (2, 22) for arranging in the interior of the structural element (50) and an indicating segment (3, 23) for arranging on an outer face of the structural element (50), wherein an indicating process having a visible change in the region of the indicating segment (3, 23) can be triggered by the exceedance of a specified sterilization temperature in the region of the triggering segment (2, 22), which change is irreversible with respect to a subsequent fall below the sterilization temperature.
