According to the present invention, a wheelchair comprises: a main frame which has a seat on which a patient can sit； a pair of rear wheels installed in the main frame to be rotated； a front wheel installed in a support frame connected to the main frame； and an obstacle overcoming unit installed in one side of one among the main frame, the support frame, and a footboard installed in the support frame, and overcomes obstacles in front of the front or rear wheels. The obstacle overcoming unit includes: a guide member connected or separated to/from one side of one among the main frame, the support frame, and the footboard through coupling parts； at least one transfer body part transferred along the guide member； a lifting member installed in the transfer body part to be lifted, and supplies tractive force to the wheelchair when the wheelchair descends； and a lifting member drive part installed in the transfer body part, and lifts the lifting member to overcome the obstacles.본 발명에 따른 휠체어는 환우가 앉을 수 있는 시트가 마련된 메인프레임과, 상기 메인프레임의 회전가능하게 설치되는 한 쌍의 후륜과, 상기 메인프레임과 연결되는 지지프레임에 설치되는 전륜과, 상기 메인프레임, 지지프레임, 지지프레임에 설치된 발판중 선택된 일측에 설치되어 전륜 또는 후륜의 장애물을 극복할 수 있는 장애물극복유닛을 구비하며, 상기 장애물극복유닛은 상기 메인프레임, 지지프레임, 발판중 선택된 일측에 결합부에 의해 결합 및 분리되는 가이드부재와, 상기 가이드부재를 따라 이송되는 적어도 하나의 이송본체부와, 상기 이송본체부에 승강가능하게 설치되어 하강 시 상기 휠체어에 견인력을 제공할 수 있는 승강부재와, 상기 이송본체부에 설치되어 상기 승강부재를 장애물의 극복하기 위해 승강시키는 승강부재구동부를 구비한다.
