The disclosed vertebral spacer is used by being inserted between one vertebra (101) and another vertebra (102) (the intervertebral space). Said vertebral spacer (1) has a block body (2) which, provided with a pair of contact surfaces contacting each of the vertebrae (101, 102), is configured from titanium or a titanium alloy as the main material. The block body (2) has compact sheets (25) provided with a compact part at least at the surface, and porous sheets (21) provided with a porous part having a porosity higher than that of the aforementioned compact part at least at the surface, wherein the porous sheets (21) are interposed between pairs of compact sheets (25). By this means, the size of the space between the two vertebrae (the intervertebral space) can be properly maintained. Further, damage can be accurately prevented regardless of the clinical case and the position of the intervertebral space, and earlier bone fusion with the vertebrae can be achieved.
