PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beverage containing lactic acid bacteria, in which excessive proliferation of the lactic acid bacteria is suppressed by a method for exerting as little bad influence on the taste quality of a final product as possible since a problem of the flavor deterioration to be caused by the excessive proliferation of the lactic acid bacteria, when the beverage is stored, particularly another problem of the acidic smell/taste due to the influence of the lactic acid to be produced from the lactic acid bacteria are solved fundamentally.SOLUTION: A fixed amount of calcium lactate is incorporated in the beverage containing lactic acid bacteria.
