Disclosed is an innate immune activation composition with an enhanced plant-derived innate immune activation effect, and manufacturing method therefor, which are provided based on an investigation of the conditions for extraction from a plant using an evaluation method capable of evaluating the innate immune activation effect, wherein the innate immune activation composition with an enhanced plant-derived innate immune activation effect is characterized in that it is manufactured by a manufacturing method which includes at least the steps (2) through (4). (2) A step wherein an extraction condition whereby components other than an innate immune activation component are eluted and an extraction condition whereby an innate immune activation component is eluted are selected using the magnitude of the slowly-progressive muscle contraction activity, when administered to the larva of Holometabola, as an indicator for the purpose of evaluating the innate immune activity. (3) A step wherein extraction is performed using the condition selected in step (2) whereby components other than an innate immune activation component are eluted. (4) A step wherein extraction is performed, using the condition selected in step (2) whereby an innate immune activation component is eluted from the extraction residue, after step (3) has been performed.
