PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for sufficiently supplying carbon dioxide semi-persistently and even in a summer season to a carbon dioxide-using chamber using carbon dioxide, such as a plastic greenhouse. SOLUTION: The apparatus for supplying carbon dioxide is such that an intake/exhaust agent 2 causing equilibrium reaction involving intake/exhaust of carbon dioxide is arranged within a blowing path of blowing means 30. The apparatus includes in a first mode, sending open air by the blowing means 30 from a first opening 91 into a carbon dioxide-using chamber 90, and sending out ambient gas in the carbon dioxide-using chamber 90 from a second opening 91, and in a second mode, sending open air by the blowing means 30 from the second opening 92 into the carbon dioxide-using chamber 90, and sending out ambient gas in the carbon dioxide-using chamber 90 from the first opening 91, and alternately repeatedly performing the first mode and the second mode.
