<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new allergen useful for diagnosing and treating allergy to cedar pollen. <；P>；SOLUTION: The polypeptide (CJP8) is a new allergen of cedar pollen composed of 165 amino acid residues. CJP8 has 33.1% homology with Lipid transfer protein (LTP) derived from Picea abies of genus Picea and 27.1% homology with LTP/Par allergen derived from the genus Medicago of the Leguminosae family.
