PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray imaging apparatus capable of simply performing turning on-off operation for an irradiation field lamp without operating a lighting button or the like.SOLUTION: A lighting control device 28 turns on/off an irradiation field lamp on detecting an output change by monitoring a change in output of a body thickness measuring device 26 which obtains an output difference between a photographing distance measuring device 22 and a subject distance measuring device 21.
