PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a material that can be simply incorporated into a daily meal to promote and/or improve bloodstream thereby to exhibit effects of promoting hair development, growing hair and/or fostering hair and to provide a composition in a form permitting industrially effective utilization of the same.
SOLUTION: The hair-growing agent comprises as an effective ingredient an aqueous component of defatted lees of a fruit and/or a seed of Camellia japonica belonging to the genus Camellia of the family Theaceae, and is preferably orally ingested or administered.
