PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a standing/seating support unit which has a simple structure and can be attached to a newly constructed chair and also to an existing chair, and to provide a chair with support unit including the standing/seating support unit.SOLUTION: A standing/seating support unit according to the invention is mounted on a seat of a chair and can incline forward a seat plate of the chair or return the seat plate to an original position before the forward inclining. The standing/seating support unit includes: a base capable of being attached on the seat a seat attachment part capable of being attached under the seat plate a connection mechanism connecting the base and seat attachment part and an electric actuator inclining forward the seat attachment part and return the seat attachment part to the original position before the forward inclining. The base is arranged with an engagement part and can be accommodated in a set part by engagement of the engagement part with the seat.
