PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition mainly comprising an anionic surfactant having excellent detergency and foamability, which has excellent foaming and foam quality during washing and giving excellent refresh feeling during rinsing and touch feeling (smoothness and moist feeling) after washing.SOLUTION: There is provided a detergent composition which comprises: a cationic group-containing copolymer composed of a cationic monomer such as a (meth)acrylamide having a quaternary ammonium salt at the terminal or a quaternary ammonium salt having two polymerizable unsaturated groups and a nonionic monomer which is a substituted/unsubstituted (meth)acrylamide and a cationic polymer other than the cationic group-containing copolymer.
