A toothbrush device having bristle touch-points comprised of a polymeric material (e.g., silicone) provides improved biofilm removal from the teeth. The toothbrush device includes an upper portion, a base portion located opposite the upper portion, a front surface, and a head having a rear surface located opposite the front surface. The front of the head includes bristle touch-points arranged along the rows. The rows are arranged perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the head extending from the top of the head to the base of the head. Each of the plurality of bristle touch points is a single solid elongate structure extending from the head and is comprised of a polymeric material.
