PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly precisely determine a drivers condition such as arousal, fatigue and feeling.SOLUTION: Driving operation information during traveling (the manipulated variables of an accelerator and a brake, speed, and inter-vehicle distance or the like) is measured, and the driving operation type (attacking type, speed securing type, follow-up type, cautious type) of the driver is decided based on those measurement results. The determination of the driving operation type is performed based on preliminarily defined determination conditions. Then, a determination threshold being a criterion for deciding the state of the driver is specified based on the decided driving operation type. Also, the biological information (heart rate, sweating amounts, myoelectric potential or the like) of the driver during the traveling of a vehicle is measured, and the measurement result of the biological information is collated with a set determination threshold so that the state of the driver can be decided. Then, a driving support mode corresponding to the decided state of the driver is specified, and proper driving support by a feedback device is performed based on the specified operation support mode.COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT【課題】より精度の高い運転者の状態判定を行うこと。【解決手段】走行中における運転操作情報(アクセル・ブレーキの操作量、車速、車間距離など)を測定し、これらの測定結果に基づいて運転者の運転操作タイプ(攻撃型・速度確保型・追従型・慎重型)を判定する。運転操作タイプの判定は、予め定義されている判定条件に基づいて行われる。そして、判定された運転操作タイプに基づいて、運転者の状態を判定するための判定基準となる判定閾値を特定する。また、車両の走行中における運転者の生体情報(心拍、発汗量、筋電位など)を測定し、この生体情報の測定結果を、設定された判定閾値と照らし合わせることによって運転者の状態を判定する。そして、判定された運転者の状態に対応する運転支援モードを特定し、この特定された運転支援モードに基づいて、フィードバック装置による適切な運転支援を行う。【選択図】図5
