There is provided according to the invention a method of treating a mammal suffering from or susceptible to an immune reaction to drug treatment comprising the raising of anti-drug antibodies which method comprises (a) ex-vivo treating antigen presenting cells obtained from the mammal with an agent which induces IDO in said antigen presenting cells in the presence of said drug or an epitope containing fragment thereof and (b) after IDO has been induced in said antigen presenting cells, transferring said cells back to the mammal thereby to establish immune tolerance to the drug.L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement d'un mammifère souffrant de ou vulnérable à une réaction immunitaire due à un traitement médicamenteux, comprenant l'élévation d'anticorps anti-médicament. Le procédé comprend les étapes consistant à (a) traiter ex-vivo des cellules présentant des antigènes obtenues à partir du mammifère avec un agent qui induit un IDO dans lesdites cellules présentant des antigènes en présence dudit médicament ou d'un épitope contenant un fragment de celui-ci, puis (b) après l'induction de l'IDO dans lesdites cellules présentant des antigènes, transférer lesdites cellules de nouveau dans le mammifère, afin d'établir ainsi une tolérance immunitaire vis-à-vis du médicament.
