PURPOSE: An oral composition is provided to suppress adhesion of periodontal pathogenic bacteria on to the teeth and to enhance sterilization effect. CONSTITUTION: An oral composition contains 0.05-0.5 mass% of sodium propylene glycol alginate and 0.01-0.1 mass% of isopropyl methyl phenol. The mixture ratio of sodium propylene glycol alginate and isopropyl methyl phenol is 0.4-20. The composition also contains polyoxyethylene cured castor oil, polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, or non-ionic surfactant of decaglycrin monofatty acid ester.
