The present invention is directed to an enriched food product, such as a calcium-enriched chewable food product in which at least one piece of the food productprovides the recommended daily DRI of elemental calcium. The enriched food producthas a mouth feel, texture and taste substantially similar to a non-enriched foodproduct. The food product may also provide Vitamin D3 in a range of 100-2400 IUand optionally may be enrobed with a flavored coating. The present inventionis also directed to a method for producing the enriched food product.
