PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly perform planting work to improve work efficiency by providing sub-preliminary seedling placing parts different from a preliminary seedling placing part to improve the loading amount of preliminary seedlings while maintaining facilitation of seedling supply work at the preliminary seedling placing part.SOLUTION: A seedling transplanter includes a seedling planting part provided at the rear part of a traveling vehicle body, and a preliminary seedling placing base for placing seedling boxes for placing seedlings or seedling scooping plates for placing seedlings, provided at the side part of the traveling vehicle body. The preliminary seedling placing base includes a preliminary seedling placing part 72 that can place a plurality of seeding boxes or a plurality of seedling scooping plates so as to be continuously movable in a longitudinal direction, and sub-preliminary seedling placing parts 150 smaller in placing space than the preliminary seedling placing part 72.
