There is provided a method of detecting in a sample the presence of an anti-M and/or anti-A and/or anti-C/Y antibody, the method comprising contacting the sample with a diagnostic conjugate provided according to the invention, comprising an oligosaccharide which comprises at least two units of 4,6-dideoxy-4-acylamido-α-pyranose and comprising at least one -(1-3)-link between adjacent 4,6-dideoxy-4-acylamido-α-pyranose units, in which the carbon at position 5 in the pyranose is linked to an R group, where R is independently selected from —CH2OH, —H or an alkyl group having at least one C atom, the oligosaccharide being covalently linked to a non-saccharide molecule or to a surface.L'invention concerne un procédé de détection dans un échantillon de la présence d'un anticorps anti-M et/ou anti-A et/ou anti-C/Y, le procédé comprenant la mise en contact de l'échantillon avec un conjugué de diagnostique proposé selon l'invention, comprenant un oligosaccharide qui comprend au moins deux unités de 4,6-didésoxy-4-acylamido-α- pyranose et comprenant au moins une liaison (1-3) entre deux unités 4,6-didésoxy-4-acylamido-α-pyranose adjacentes, dans lesquelles le carbone en position 5 dans le pyranose est lié à un groupe R, où R est indépendamment choisi parmi -CH2OH, -H ou un groupe alkyle ayant au moins un atome C, l'oligosaccharide étant lié de façon covalente à une molécule non saccharide ou à une surface.
