PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-absorbent article capable of alleviating an uncomfortable feeling due to a water-soluble component contained in superabsorbent polymer particles.SOLUTION: In an absorbent article 1 adapted to be used as an absorbent structure in a disposable diaper, superabsorbent polymer particles 4 are interposed between opposed surfaces 2a, 3a of two sheet pieces 2, 3 overlapping each other.
