This invention relates to an endoscope direction control mechanism, which includes a direction turntable and a brake assembly. The brake assembly has a braking seat and a control seat, wherein the braking seat and a control seat are screwed together so that when the control seat rotates between a release position and a braking position it will drive the braking seat to move relatively to the direction turntable.
