PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generator capable of supplying sufficient amounts of positive ions and negative ions.
SOLUTION: The ion generator 1A includes an air blowing box 2 passing sent air, a positive ion generating element 3A supplying positive ions to the air passing through air blowing box 2, and a negative ion generating element 3B supplying positive ions. The positive ion generating element 3A and the negative ion generating element 3B are serially arranged in pairs with longitudinal directions of ion discharging faces exposed into an air supply wind path 25 in parallel with center lines of an air intake 20 and an air outlet 21.
