PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS FOR PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE CAUSED BY HYPERCHOLESTERINEMIA CONTAINING FRUITS Cornus kousa Burg. EXTRACTS, FRACTIONS, THE ISOLATED TRITERPENE COMPOUNDS THEREFROM, OR THE PHARMACEUTICALLY ACCEPTABLE SALTS AS AN ACTIVE INGREDIENT
PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing Cornus kousa Burg. fruit extract is provided to suppress human acyl-CoA(hACAT) and to prevent and treat cardiovascular diseases. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating cardiovascular diseases due to hypercholesterolemia contains Cornus kousa Burg. fruit extract as an active ingredient. The Cornus kousa Burg. fruit extract is isolated from Cornus kousa Burg. fruit using alcohol aqueous solution or isolated by double-boiling. The pharmaceutical composition contains Cornus kousa Burg. fruit fraction as an active ingredient. The fraction is obtained using ethyl acetate and H_2O and by extracting H_2O layer using n-butanol. The pharmaceutical composition also contains triterpene compounds from the fraction or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. The triterpene compounds is ursolic acid of chemical formula 1, corosolic acid of chemical formula 2, taraxasterol of chemical formula 3, betulinic acid of chemical formula 4, or betulinic aldehyde of chemical formula 5.본 발명은 산딸나무 열매 추출물, 산딸나무 열매 분획물, 이로부터 분리된 트리테르펜계 화합물 또는 이의 약학적으로 허용가능한 염을 유효성분으로 함유하는 고콜레스테롤혈증에 기인하는 심혈관 질환의 예방 및 치료용 약학적 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 특히 산딸나무 열매로부터 분리되어진 산딸나무 열매 추출물, 산딸나무 열매 분획물, 이로부터 분리된 트리테르펜계 화합물 또는 이의 약학적으로 허용가능한 염은 천연물질로서 휴먼 아실 코에이(Human Acyl-CoA； hACAT)에 대한 억제효과를 나타내므로, 고지혈증, 관상동맥심장병, 동맥경화증, 심근경색증 등과 같은 고콜레스테롤혈증에 기인하는 심혈관 질환의 예방 및 치료에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
