PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelled mower enabling mowing to be efficiently carried out in any direction of advance and retreat to reduce the labor and time required for the mowing.SOLUTION: The mower B has a frame 1. Front wheels 31 forming a traveling means enabling advance and retreat and rear wheels 41 serving as driving wheels are provided in the front and rear parts of the frame 1, respectively. Cutters 2 are installed in parallel in both sides in the traveling direction in the lower part of the frame 1. The cutters 2 are designed to change a rotary direction as the traveling direction of the traveling means changes. A handle 6 can be set in a required direction based on the traveling direction of the mower B. Covers 71 for introducing grass to the cutters 2 are provided in the front and rear parts of the frame 1.
