PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fundus camera reducing a burden of a subject with severe astigmatism.
SOLUTION: The fundus camera includes: a photography optical system having a focus lens and an image pickup element for fundus photography and photographing the fundus oculi an observation optical system having an image pickup element for fundus observation and observing the subjects fundus oculi a cornea indicator projection optical system for projecting an indicator for detecting the corneal astigmatism, to the cornea of the subjects eye an indicator detection optical system having a two-dimensional light receiving element and detecting the indicator projected to the cornea a monitor and a control section processing an output signal from the image pickup element for fundus photography or the image pickup element for fundus observation and displaying at least either one of the photographic image of the fundus oculi and the observation image of the fundus oculi on the monitor. The control section determines the presence/absence of the corneal astigmatism of the subjects eye based on the image focus location of the indicator to the light receiving element, and displays the determination result on the monitor along with the fundus photographic image or the fundus observation image.
