The device has a cylindrical body, a blade, a linkage arrangement, a rod and a length measuring element. The cylindrical body has a front end and a rear end. The linkage arrangement is disposed within the cylindrical body and coupled with the blade. One end of the rod is outside the cylindrical body, whereas the other end of the rod passes through the rear end of the cylindrical body and couples with the linkage arrangement.
