Claimed is a method of the complex estimation of the angiogenic potential of progenitor cells in patients with cardiovascular diseases, tested on mesenchymal stromal cells of the adipose tissue (MSC-AT) of patients with ischemic heart disease and including the measurement of content of mRNA and proteins of basic angiogenic factors, produced by the progenitor cells such as the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), the placental growth factor (PIGF), the hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), angiopoetin-1 and angiogenin, the angiogenic activity of total cell secretion products, as well as the estimation of the ability of the progenitor cells to stimulate the vascularisation of subcutaneous Matrigel implants, introduced to immunodeficient mice.
