The invention-proposed is a combo tube assembly which consists of an orotracheal tube around which is mounted a rotatable and inflatable scaffold containing channels for an orogastric tube and lateral conduits for suctioning out oropharyngeal secretions. Once the orotracheal tube is in situ, the scaffold can be inflated and the orogastric lube can be easily passed through its channel owing to its default position inside the conduit and the backward angulation in its leading end which automatically guides it posteriorly into the esophagus. On either side of the scaffold will be lateral ports with multiple openings to suck out oropharyngeal secretions which helps reduce chances of micro aspiration. Owing to the specific material and shape characteristics of the lube, the combo tube will have minimum or no kinking and coiling tendencies, thereby helping a smoother oragastric tube insertion and thereby significantly enhancing patient and doctor comfort in the procedure. It also reduces the risk of aspiration. Thus, the combo-tube will be an invaluable addition in the management of acute emergency and comatose patients who need a simultaneous orotracheal airway and orogastric feeding channel.
