PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical device capable of preventing itself from being unusable due to a leg part of a basket plastically deformed and stretched.SOLUTION: A medical device 10A includes a handle 12, a sheath 14 extending from the handle 12, a basket 16 having a plurality of leg parts 17, a shaft 18 connecting the basket 16 and the handle 12, and a basket protection mechanism 30.
