The present invention relates to a method for preparing ginsenoside Rg2 comprising the steps of: a) extracting and concentrating a ginseng extract after adjusting the acidity of water, ethanol, or a mixed solvent thereof, preferably a 50-80% ethanol solvent, to have pH 3-5 using weak acid and/or organic acid b) concentrating the ginseng extract by centrifuging or filtering the extract to remove precipitate by dissolving the extract in a mixed solvent made of water and ethanol and collecting the supernatant c) collecting a fraction containing 50% or more content of ginsenoside Rg2 separated by a methacrylate type resin using water, ethanol, or a mixed solvent thereof as a development solvent. The preparing method of the present invention does not use a harmful organic solvent when preparing the ginsenoside Rg2, thereby being safe, eco-friendly, convenient, and economical and having a high production yield.
