PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sphygmomanometer capable of accurately measuring the blood pressure by relaxing a measured person before the blood pressure of the person is measured.SOLUTION: The sphygmomanometer 1 includes: an arm band part 2 to be attached to an upper arm of the measured person a pressurizing means 110 for pressurizing the inside of the arm band part a control part 120 a pressure sensor 140 for detecting the pressure inside the arm band part 2 and depressurizing means 111 and 112 for depressurizing the pressure inside the arm band part 2. Receiving a pressure signal from the pressure sensor 140, the control part 120 controls the pressurizing means and the depressurizing means to measure the blood pressure in the sphygmomanometer 1.
