The oxygenator (1 ) for oxygenating blood during extracorporeal circulation comprises: a box-like body (2) defining therein an oxygenation chamber (3) which has an inlet (7) for the organic fluid to be oxygenated and an outlet (8) for the oxygenated organic fluid at least one oxygen exchanging unit (4) for exchanging oxygen with said organic fluid, which is arranged in said oxygenation chamber (3) and comprises at least two windings of hollow fibers (6) made from a hydrophobic and gas-permeable microporous membrane which are designed to be lapped by transverse flows of said fluid to be oxygenated and to have oxygen or a mixture of oxygen flowing therethrough, said oxygenator comprising at least one three-dimensional frame (9) which is designed to be accommodated in said oxygenation chamber (3) and defines at least two corresponding housing compartments (1 2) for accommodating said at least two windings (6) in peripherally compressed fashion.Oxygénateur (1) destiné à oxygéner le sang lors de la circulation extracorporelle, comprenant un corps (2) en forme de boîte dans lequel est définie une chambre doxygénation (3) dotée dune entrée (7) pour le fluide organique à oxygéner, et dune sortie (8) pour le fluide organique oxygéné, au moins une unité déchange doxygène (4) pour léchange doxygène avec ledit fluide organique, qui est installée dans ladite chambre doxygénation (3) et qui comprend au moins deux enroulements de fibres creuses (6) constituées dune membrane microporeuse perméable aux gaz, destinées à être recouvertes par des flux transversaux dudit fluide à oxygéner, et à travers lesquelles passe loxygène ou le mélange doxygène, ledit oxygénateur comprenant au moins une structure tridimensionnelle (9) conçue pour être placée à lintérieur de ladite chambre doxygénation (3) et définissant au moins deux compartiments formant logement (1, 2) correspondants dans lesquels lesdits au moins deux enroulement (6) sont logés dans un état comprimé périphériquement.
