A protective cover type safety device for syringe needle comprises a first buckle seat and a second buckle seat which are mutually engaged, and a protective cover which is combined to the first buckle seat and can be swung. The first and the second buckle seats are clamped and positioned to a needle seat of a syringe needle. The protective cover may be swung between a first position and a second position, or may be limited to the third position.
