An image registering and stitching method and an image detection system for a cell detection chip are provided. In the method, a moving path of an image capturing device for capturing images of the cell detection chip is planed according to a size of an imaging region of the image capturing device and a size of a detection region of the cell detection chip, in which multiple symbols are disposed on the detection region for registering the captured images. Next, the image capturing device is controlled to move above the cell detection chip along the planed moving path so as to capture multiple images of the cell detection chip.
