PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a subject suffering from an autoimmune disease characterized by an increased level of cardiolipin antibody.SOLUTION: The method comprises administering a therapeutically effective amount of an aromatic-cationic peptide or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
