The present patent (pi) relates to a novel process for obtaining solid dispersions using sodium alginate as a biopolymer and the product obtained from said process. Thus, the main purpose of this document is to disclose in detail and claim protection for the process of using biocompatible and non-toxic hydrolytic and enzymatic degradable biopolymers, preferably sodium alginate, as carrier agents, and using the dispersion technique. solid, which has important potential regarding the specific targeting of the drug's action site, improving its bioavailability. It is important to highlight that besides the mentioned advantage, among others, the present invention allows to improve the solubility and dissolution rate of the drug in water, with consequent increase in its therapeutic potential. The process and product developed is preferably intended for the area of pharmaceutical preparations, more specifically antiparasitic / anthelmintic / schistosomicidal agents, through the use / application of sodium alginate as an effective biopolymer and with properties suitable for the preparation of solid dispersion by solvent method incorporating praziquantel, thus representing an important technological strategy for improving the efficacy of this drug, and constituting a more pharmacologically efficient therapeutic alternative.a presente patente de invenção (pi) diz respeito a um inédito processo para obtenção de dispersões sólidas utilizando alginato de sódio como biopolímero e o produto obtido a partir do dito processo. assim, a proposta principal deste documento é revelar de forma detalhada e reivindicar proteção para o processo de utilização de biopolímeros de fácil degradação hidrolítica e enzimática, biocompatíveis e atóxicos, preferencialmente o alginato de sódio, como agentes carreadores, e, utilizando a técnica de dispersão sólida, que apresenta potencial importante quanto ao direcionamento específico do sítio de ação do fármaco, melhorando a biodisponibilidade do mesmo
