The device (1) comprises a rectangular shaped neoprene material (2) with a leading edge (6) 5 and an opposing trailing edge (7). Optionally, the opposing side edges of the material (2) include wing-like extensions (10, 11). A strip (3) of hook-containing material is affixed to the underside of the material (2). A tab (4) of loopcontaining material is affixed to the upperside of the material (2). A live crustacean (8) is placed on the upperside of the material (2). If present, the 10 extensions (10, 11) are first folded onto the upper body of the crustacean (8) and may overlap and be secured together, dependent on the size of the body of the crustacean (8). The leading edge (6) of the material (2) is then folded upwards and over so that the material (2) abuts the body of the crustacean (8). The thus-enveloped crustacean (8) and material (2) is further rolled upwards 15 and over, or alternatively, the trailing edge (7) of the material (2) is folded upwards and over, sufficient for the tab (4) to engage, and be secured by, the strip (3).(p n -~ 1 lv -~ I 'N>; N>; I: C) " U P / ~&~) sQj C I
