PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for removing miscellaneous seaweed which enable a removal work to be easily performed for miscellaneous seaweed growing on a sea bottom having a complicated geographical feature such as markedly uneven bedrock, and can achieve a fine removal work for a bed where kelp grows.SOLUTION: A miscellaneous seaweed removal device 10 comprises: pressure generation means 12 to generate water pressure a water conducting hose pipe 16 to conduct high pressure water pumped from the pressure generation means 12 and jet nozzles 20A and 20B to eject the high pressure water pumped through the water conducting hose pipe 16 as a jet.
